The Main Aim of the Campaign is to Educate Individuals and Clinicians about Personal Health Records:
Individuals:
- 1. Actively participate as partners in their health care
- 2. Understand the benefits of personal health records (PHRs)
- 3. Understand health data ownership and security measures
Clinicians:
- 1. Understand the realities of and myths about PHR implementation
- 2. Use clinical decision support tools to improve safety and manage the quality and costs of care
- 3. Encourage consumers to engage PHRs as a means of strengthening the patient-clinician relationship and improving the data that is the basis for health care decisions.
